This album was made over the course of 2015 with a variety of
instruments and recorded and mixed by me in all its crude glory:
Chopped Yamaha - pf10 (thanks to Kevin Zoernig) run through
pedals that were given/loaned to me by John Dieterich of Deer-
hoof (Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer), BearFoot FX
(Fuzz, Distortion and Tremolo) and Analog Outfitters (Super
Sarge Guitar Tube Amplifier, and their vibrato scanner, both
made from old Hammond Organ parts).
The album is in two halves (with interwoven themes). The
1st is some kind of experimental rock with vocals. The
2nd half consists of a variety of approaches to the blues.
The title of the album comes from John Trudell's 'Listening
(Honor Song)' from his first album Tribal Voice. The last
three titles of the album are from a quote by Ella Baker.
